PM Svyrydenko meets U.S. Army Secretary Driscoll in Kyiv

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko met with U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll during his first visit to Ukraine, she reported on X on Nov. 20.
The trip offers American officials a chance to assess the situation firsthand and witness the impacts of Russian aggression, Svyrydenko said.
She stressed the urgent need to intensify sanctions against Russia to curb its ability to wage aggressive war against Ukraine.
“I also reaffirmed that the U.S.–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund, initiated by President Trump, is being successfully implemented,” said the premier.
Politico reported on Nov. 18 that senior Pentagon officials arrived in Kyiv to present the Trump administration's latest proposal for halting the conflict and deepen military technology cooperation.
Axios reported on Nov. 19 that the Trump administration is secretly working with Russia on a new 28-point plan to end the war in Ukraine. An unnamed U.S. official said the plan is led by Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, who discussed it in detail with Kirill Dmitriev, the envoy of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Reuters reported that the United States has signaled to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Ukraine must accept a Washington-developed framework agreement to end the war with Russia.
The Economist previously reported that Steve Witkoff's so-called "peace deal" appears to be Russia’s wishlist that Ukraine would reject.
