U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner may finally travel to Kyiv within the next two weeks, MAGA influencer Laura Loomer said on July 28, citing a White House source.

The trip has been planned and postponed on several occasions in the past, as U.S. attention shifted towards the Middle East and trilateral Ukraine–U.S.–Russia talks stalled in early 2026. Things may have been set in motions once again during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump earlier the same day.

“[A] White House source tells me that during President Trump’s meeting with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy today, it was agreed upon that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will now make a visit to Kyiv, Ukraine for the first time ever in the spirit of diplomacy and trying to end the Russia-Ukraine war,” Loomer wrote on Twitter.

“A date and time is going to be set soon, and the plan is to get them to Kyiv within the next 2 weeks.”

Earlier, Misha Komadovsky, a correspondent for Deutsche Welle, similarly reported that Kushner and Witkoff might visit Kyiv, citing an unnamed senior Ukrainian official.

Komadovsky wrote that Thursday’s meeting between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was “very practical” and that the leaders discussed resuming diplomatic efforts. The meeting lasted about an hour.
