Yermak to remain in custody after bail not posted in full

Yermak, the former head of Ukraine’s presidential office, will remain in
custody after supporters failed to post his bail in full on May 14, journalist
Mykhailo Tkach of Ukrainska Pravda reported, citing sources.
“As sources in law enforcement say, Yermak remains in pretrial detention. They did not manage to collect and post the bail today,” Tkach wrote.
By 5 p.m. Kyiv time, UAH14.5 million ($330,000) of the UAH140 million ($3.2 million) bail had been paid, Tkach said.
Earlier on May 14, the High Anti-Corruption Court ordered Yermak held in pretrial detention with. The suspect was taken into custody in the courtroom.
Tkach, citing political sources, added that officials at the
presidential administration mobilized administrative resources to address the
matter, but “few people wanted to get involved.”
