Both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump are committed to standing their ground when negotiating on key policy questions, former U.S. Special Envoy Keith Kellogg said on March 25.

“He's a lot like President Trump. He's very direct. He's very hard, not in stature, but the way he is and the way he operates and the way he talks,” Kellogg described Zelenskyy in a comment to Newsmax.

He then talked about his expertise on the Russo–Ukrainian war and commended Ukraine for successfully resisting Russia’s armed aggression for over four years.

“But I've been into Ukraine, I've seen the people. I know what they're doing. I've been to the battlefront. I know what's happening out there,” said Kellogg.

“And I have great credit to Ukrainians, what they have done in the last four years plus is astounding. They've basically taken and stopped the Russian war machine dead cold. And I think it's over time that [Russian dictator Vladimir] Putin just has to realize he cannot win this war.”
