Zelenskyy arrives in Rome for Ukraine recovery conference
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Rome to take part in the July 10-11 international Ukraine recovery conference, public broadcaster Suspilne reported on July 10, citing a source in the presidential administration.
Zelenskyy is also scheduled to meet with his Italian counterpart Sergio Mattarella and have an audience with Pope Leo XIV.
According to presidential spokesperson Serhiy Nikiforov, Zelenskyy is also scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Keith Kellogg today.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni initiated the conference to discuss a step-by-step plan for rebuilding Ukraine after the widespread destruction caused by Russian aggression. Leaders of Ukraine’s key partner countries, representatives of international financial institutions, and major businesses have been invited to participate.
A key goal of the conference is to coordinate a clear roadmap for rebuilding infrastructure, the economy, social services, the energy system, and legal institutions, with a focus on regions most affected by the war, including Kharkiv, Kherson, and Donetsk oblasts.
The Ukrainian delegation is led by Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
