Zelenskyy hints at more G7 talks on security guarantees

Kyiv will intensify talks with international partners in the
coming weeks on security
guarantees and other steps designed to end the Russo–Ukrainian war, President
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on June 29.
“This week and in the weeks ahead we will work with partners — there are things that should be done to bring peace closer,” the resident said in his evening address.
“There will be an active international schedule. We very much expect a positive response from the G7 to our requests, and also from members of the coalition of the willing.”
He said June and July must be productive for Ukraine, especially for “our shared effort to guarantee security.”
The Financial Times, citing unnamed sources, reported that
during the recent G7 summit in France, U.S. President Donald Trump was “very impressed”
by Ukraine’s long-range strikes on Russia. Axios, citing sources, said Trump
expressed disappointment with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and discussed
increasing pressure on Moscow.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
