Zelenskyy makes unannounced visit to Germany
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy
arrived in Germany
with an unannounced visit on Dec. 14, German newspaper BILD reports, citing
Frankfurt police.
Security measures were heightened throughout the region, with several roads closed.
BILD reports that Zelenskyy traveled to Wiesbaden, home to the coordination center that manages U.S. security assistance to Ukraine.
On Dec. 10, Zelenskyy attended the inauguration of Argentina's President Javier Milei. The following day, he visited the United States, where he addressed U.S. senators, had his first conversation with House Speaker Mike Johnson, and met with President Joe Biden at the White House.
On Dec. 13, Zelenskyy arrived in Oslo, Norway.
On Dec. 14, Politico reported that Zelenskyy wanted to be present at the EU summit during which decisions on starting EU membership negotiations with Ukraine would be taken. However, Brussels did not invite the Ukrainian president due to concerns over the reaction from Hungarian PM Viktor Orbán.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
