Zelenskyy: range of Ukrainian drones will keep growing

At current pace of technological development, Ukrainian
drones will have a range of over 4,000 kilometers by 2026 and between 5,000
and 10,000 kilometers by 2027, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an
interview with MAGA influencer Laura Loomer published on
July 24.
Zelenskyy voiced the figures when discussing the ongoing efforts to negotiate a drone partnership with the United States.
“They [the Americans] have already gained this experience from us: we later sent naval drones, aerial drones, long-range drones, medium- and deep-strike drones,” the president said.
He said the first phase of agreements with the United States has already been implemented and that a document outlining the next step is practically ready. Zelenskyy added he hopes to sign it soon with U.S. President Donald Trump.
“We will build a nice factory [to produce drones in the United States], we want production lines,” Zelenskyy added.
“Drones cannot just sit in warehouses — they are not artillery or missiles, you know? Drones change every six months on the battlefield.”
On July 1, the Ukrainian government approved an export licensing mechanism to allow for international sales of domestic weapons and drone technologies.
On July 2, Secretary of the National Security and
Defense Council Rustem Umerov said six agreements have been signed under the
Drone Deal format and that more than 20 countries are working to join the
model.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
