Ukraine is grateful for the “timely” $800 million security assistance package from the United States, which included dozens of armored vehicles and artillery systems, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a Twitter post on July 7.

Zelenskyy expressed gratitude towards U.S. President Joe Biden and the American people for their continued military support throughout Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“A timely, extensive, and much-needed package of defense assistance from the United States,” Zelenskyy said.

“We are grateful to the American people and President Joseph Biden for decisive steps that bring Ukraine closer to victory over the enemy, and democracy – closer to victory over dictatorship. The expansion of Ukraine's defense capabilities will provide new tools for the liberation of our land and the pursuit of peace.”
