How Putin and Trump help each other
Putin and Trump declared their love for each other over Valentine's Day week. Is it a surprise?
Putin started it. He said the more experienced and predictable Biden is better than Trump. Trump replied that he meant it as a compliment.
Putin always lies. It's an axiom. So when Putin says that for him, President Biden is better than President Trump, he is lying. He is lying, and he is helping Trump in this way. Just as he helped him in 2016, when millions of Russian bots worked for Trump's election victory. Trump is chaos. Trump is polarization in the United States. Trump is a blow to NATO's unity. All of this is beneficial to Putin. Trump means weakening the United States under the slogan Make America Great Again. Putin reads it as Make America Shame Again. And he likes it. Russia is much weaker than the United States, and Putin can win only by striking from within by simply helping a narcissist come to power. Then he will do everything himself.
Everything that Putin says is not because he thinks it is so. He says it because he wants you to hear it. The only exception is his history lessons, which he is obsessed with. So, he doesn't say that Biden is the best president for him because he thinks so. He says it because he wants to be heard. So that Trump can use it in the election and prevent Biden from appealing to Trump's pro-Kremlin policies.
Putin is helping Trump. Is Trump helping Putin? Yes, he is. His people are now sabotaging aid to Ukraine. They are already creating a situation where Russia has the advantage on the battlefield.
Putin reads it as Make America Shame Again
Now, Trump's adviser says that Trump plans to force Ukraine and Russia to the negotiating table. He will force Ukraine to negotiate by threatening to reduce or eliminate support. He will force Putin to negotiate by threatening to increase aid to Ukraine. But the trick is that Putin has already stated that he is ready to negotiate, just on the condition of freezing the conflict along the current line of contact. Reuters recently published an article, which many in Ukraine were skeptical of, that describes Putin's efforts to achieve negotiations by appealing directly to Washington. The overture was rejected by Biden's team, which said that no one would negotiate about Ukraine without Ukraine.
Thus, this strategy, Trump's strategy, will be tantamount to pressure on Ukraine and simply repeats Putin's wishes. Putin is ready. Ukraine is not ready. So, it's Ukraine against the world. This is the conclusion of Trump's manipulative logic. With this, he clearly supports Putin and his narratives. Just like Elon Musk, who says the same thing - maybe they have the same advisors - who say Russia cannot be defeated. And helping Ukraine is only harmful.
This is the power of love. On a mutually beneficial basis.
