Ukrainian writer Victoria Amelina was injured and hospitalized as a result of a Russian missile strike on Kramatorsk, Donetsk Oblast, on June 27, PEN Ukraine, a civic organization of Ukrainian authors, confirmed on Facebook on June 29.

Russian invasion forces have built a dam on the outskirts of occupied Tokmak in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, presumably to use flooding tactics against Ukraine's counter-offensive, open-source investigative outfit Bellingcat reported on June 29.

There is a possibility that the Russian military will destroy the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, as the aggressor state has a "propensity for terrorist warfare," advisor to the head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak said on June 29.

An absolute majority of Ukrainians – 78% – have close relatives or friends who have been injured or killed due to the Russian invasion of the country, according to a Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) survey released on June 29.
