Two Ukrainian civilians and 300 service members returned home after a prisoner
exchange with Russia on March 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

Ukrainian were reunited with their families and loved ones.
Among those released were members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service, including privates, sergeants, and officers. Zelenskyy said the prisoners had been defending Ukraine in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson oblasts. Most had been held for more than a year, and some since 2022.
Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President, said
the March 6 exchange took place under agreements reached during trilateral
Ukraine–U.S.–Russia talks in Geneva.
