Air defenses down five Russian drones in Lviv Oblast

Maksym Kozytskyi said air defenses downed five drones launched by Russia at Lviv Oblast, according to a post on Telegram on Feb. 17,
During an air raid alert that lasted in Lviv Oblast from 6:10 a.m. to 8:56 a.m., one Shahed drone entered Oblast’s airspace.
Air defense forces destroyed it in the Stryi district. Preliminary reports said there were no consequences.
During another air raid alert that lasted in the Stryi district from 3:45 a.m. to 4:29 a.m., four drones entered the airspace of Lviv Oblast.
Ukrainian forces shot down three drones, while one was lost from radar. Preliminary reports indicated no fatalities, injuries or damage.
Later, Kozytskyi added that a drone was found in a field near private homes in one of the villages of the Stryi district. Specialized services are working at the site.
Overnight, Russia launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, including western oblasts of the country. Explosions were reported in Odesa, Dnipro, Kropyvnytskyi and Burshtyn in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
In Odesa, Russian strikes caused extremely serious damage to energy infrastructure.
