Russian invaders fired over 1,500 missiles and drones at Kyiv in 2024
In 2024, Kyiv experienced 500 air alerts, with Russian troops launching nearly 200 airstrikes using more than 1,600 weapons, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration on Dec. 30.
In 2024, Russian troops launched over 1,300 drones, 200 cruise missiles, 24 ballistic missiles, 22 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, and seven Zircon hypersonic missiles at Kyiv.
The city successfully repelled six large-scale and 14 combined airstrikes, with the most intense being a combined strike involving 78 weapons, including 49 Kh-101 missiles and 10 Kinzhal missiles.
Russian attacks damaged around 550 residential buildings, displacing nearly 120 residents, while Kyiv faced emergency blackouts for almost 100 days, averaging nine hours without power daily.
