Russian-occupied Crimea announced temporary power cutoffs
after 11 a.m. on June 25, Russian-controlled Krymenergo said.
Russian occupation authorities described the move as a
“necessary measure” to prevent the power grid from overloading and avoid a
wider failure across the energy system. Detailed hourly outage schedules for
local grid areas are not currently available.
Ukrainian Defense Forces strikes on Russian targets in Crimea
Before dawn on June 24, three strikes hit Sevastopol’s main
electrical substation in Crimea. The attack sparked a major fire and knocked
out power in the city.
Later on June 24, Ukraine’s SBU Security Service said it
struck Russian air defense systems near the Kerch Strait, as well as the Saky
and Gvardeyskoye military airfields in Crimea.
On June 22, drones attacked several targets in
Russian-occupied Crimea. Local residents reported explosions and air defense
activity. Reports said the Tavriyska thermal power plant, an FSB border service
building in Armiansk and fuel depots in Feodosiya were hit.
In the early hours of June 21, a major fire broke out at a
fuel terminal in the seaport of Kerch after a drone attack, and Crimea’s
occupation authorities announced that fuel sales at gas stations had been
suspended.
Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff later said Defense
Forces struck an oil terminal in occupied Kerch and the Port Kavkaz facility
inside Russia during the same overnight attack.
