Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight with 163 strike drones, including Shaheds, about half of them jet-powered, as well as S8000 Banderol, Gerbera and Parodiya decoy drones on Sept. 3.

As of 8:30 a.m., air defenses had shot down or suppressed 135 Russian targets, according to preliminary data from the Ukrainian Air Force.

Strikes were recorded at 15 locations, while debris from downed targets fell at four locations.

The attack is ongoing, with Russian drones still in Ukrainian airspace, the Air Force warned.

Overnight into Sept. 3, Russia launched a large-scale drone attack on several oblasts of Ukraine, including western areas. The Air Force reported jet-powered drones moving across multiple oblasts. In addition to Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, drones targeted Odesa, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia Oblast and other areas.

Seventeen people, including three children, were injured in a Russian drone attack on Odesa overnight Thursday.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
