Russia strikes Kharkiv medical facility: 7 injured, including a child
Russia struck the city of Kharkiv with a guided aerial bomb, according to Mayor Ihor Terekhov on July 25.
The number of people injured in a Russian airstrike on Kharkiv has risen to seven, with three hospitalized, regional officials said.
At 12:19 p.m., Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Synehubov confirmed that one of the six initially reported injured was a child.
By 11:52 a.m., city mayor Ihor Terekhov reported that the Russian strike had left one person dead and six injured.
Earlier, at 11:48 a.m., Terekhov said a guided aerial bomb hit a medical facility, located near another building used to treat patients. The full extent of the damage was still being assessed.
The mayor previously stated that the city’s Industrial District had come under attack.
Prior to the official updates, journalists from public broadcaster Suspilne reported hearing an explosion in Kharkiv.
According to authorities, on July 24, Russian invaders launched two guided aerial bombs at Kharkiv. One bomb struck near a multi-story residential building, while the other hit a civilian infrastructure site.
The blasts injured 44 people, including seven children — among them a 28-day-old infant and a one-month-old baby.
