Russia keeps changing air raid tactics, Ukrainian Air Force warns

Russia constantly updates its drones, missiles, and their attack
patterns, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ihnat said on April 3.
Ihnat was commenting on the recent trend of hundreds of Russian drones attacking Ukrainian cities in broad daylight, as opposed to just the usual nighttime raids.
“Tactics of their use change all the time, depending on the nature of the strike the enemy is trying to carry out and which regions they are targeting,” he told Ukrainian Radio.
“The time of day [for the attacks] changes as well. In addition, they are modernizing their weapons and changing the tactics and number of UAVs. Today, UAVs are flying in large numbers from different directions and attacking different regions.”
Commenting on the morning Russian air strike earlier the same day, Ihnat pointed out that “they used to attack during the day as well, but there were way fewer drones.”
He added that it is difficult to identify specific targets when attacks are carried out across the whole territory of Ukraine.
“The enemy’s targets are varied: they traditionally hit
infrastructure, energy facilities, and the gas-extraction industry. Clearly,
they are also interested in logistics. You can see that railways suffer from
constant attacks, especially from strike UAVs. The enemy is doing everything to
make life harder for Ukraine as a state and for Ukrainians as a nation,” Ihnat
said.
