Russia launches over 100 drones at Ukraine, 60 shot down
Russian invaders launched 108 Shahed attack drones and other simulator UAVs against Ukraine, the Air Force reported on May 11.
As of 9:30 a.m. local time on Sunday, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down 60 Shahed attack drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Russian forces overnight, the Ukrainian Air Force reported.
An additional 41 enemy decoy drones were neutralized without causing any damage.
The Air Force noted that Sumy Oblast sustained damage as a result of the assault.

In the Popivska community, non-residential buildings were damaged.

In the Bilopilska community, a civilian infrastructure site, non-residential premises, and private homes sustained damage.
The drone assault began during the night of Sunday, May 11, just hours after the expiration of the so-called “three-day truce” declared by Vladimir Putin. The attack was launched from several directions.
Air defense systems were active in Kyiv and the surrounding region. One person was injured in a drone strike in the Brovary district, Kyiv regional governor Mykola Kalashnyk said.
In the Obukhiv district, five private residences were reported damaged.
Putin had earlier declared a ceasefire from midnight on May 8 to midnight on May 11 in honor of Russia’s Victory Day celebrations on May 9.
