Russian forces launched 255 Shahed, jet-powered Shahed, Gerbera, Italmaz, and Banderol UAVs, along with Parodiya decoy drones, against Ukraine overnight on July 31, the Air Force reported.
Ukrainian air defenses shot down or neutralized 195 enemy UAVs in the north, south, and east.
22 UAVs made impact at 14 locations with debris from shot-down targets falling in four locations.
As of 8:00 a.m., the Air Force warned that the Russian attack was still ongoing, with enemy UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace.
Explosions rang out across Ukraine following an air raid alert as a Russian drone struck a post office on the outskirts of Kharkiv, while separate strikes targeted Zaporizhzhya.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
