Russian forces attacked Ukraine's Ternopil and Rivne oblasts overnight, targeting civilian and energy infrastructure, as air defenses repelled strikes in Rivne Oblast, regional governor Oleksandr Koval said on Nov. 4.
"Unfortunately, damage to civilian infrastructure could not be avoided. In particular, a residential building was partially destroyed. A fire broke out but has since been extinguished. A woman suffered injuries to her leg and arm and was hospitalized," he said.
Meanwhile, Ternopil Oblast Military Administration head Taras Pastukh reported that a Russian drone had struck Ternopil district.
According to him, an energy infrastructure facility was damaged.
Pastukh said all relevant emergency services had been dispatched to the scene and were working to deal with the aftermath of the attack.
Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russian forces attacked Ukraine overnight on Nov. 4 with 310 Shahed-type attack drones, including 81 jet-powered drones, as well as Gerbera drones and Parodiya decoy drones.
As of 8 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses had neutralized 272 Russian drones, including 64 jet-powered drones.
The overnight attack resulted in strikes at 19 locations, while downed aerial targets and debris fell at 15 locations.
On Nov. 3, Ukrenergo reported that Russia had carried out one of its largest attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. Russian forces deliberately targeted energy facilities more than 20 times in a single day, using an "unprecedented number of weapons."
Emergency power outages were introduced in several regions, including Kyiv and the surrounding oblast.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
