Russian air strike may extend into another day, official warns

The large-scale Russian
attack that began in the early hours of May 13 could continue until about
midday May 14, Ukrainian Defense Ministry adviser Serhii Beskrestnov told
Ukrainian TV broadcasters.
"I think it could last until about midday tomorrow," he said.
"At night we'll see missile launches, and possibly another wave [of drones]. We understand they have amassed enough Shahed drones and munitions to attack us today and tomorrow."
Beskrestnov said Ukrainian servicemembers and personnel across all relevant agencies are doing everything they can to repel the attack. He urged people to seek shelter and minimize risks from Shahed drones, and he assured that the military and other agencies are working to destroy the drones.
Russia has been mounting a heavy drone assault since morning, with drones flying mainly west. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, and other regions.
Later, Rivne Regional Governor Oleksandr Koval said a Russian Shahed struck a residential building in the region, killing three. Ivano-Frankivsk Mayor Ruslan Martsinkiv confirmed a residential building was hit, saying authorities are still clarifying the circumstances and that "the danger continues."
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of more waves of drone
attacks during the day. Ukrainian intelligence says Russia launched a combined
aerial assault that could be prolonged and that, after launching large numbers
of drones, the attackers plan to follow with missile strikes.
