Russian attack destroys Nova Poshta terminal in Sumy, killing one person
A Russian attack destroyed a Nova Poshta terminal in Sumy, killing a contractor employee, the company said on March 6.
“At night, the Russians attacked the city with drones: the Nova Poshta terminal was destroyed. Unfortunately, an employee of the contractor company was killed,” the report says. “Two enemy Shahed drones hit the warehouse, and a large-scale fire broke out. 2,576 parcels that were in the terminal burned down.”
The declared value of the lost shipments is over $89,100.
The company is contacting customers to pay compensation.
As reported, as a result of the Russian attack on the night of March 5, a branch of Nova Poshta in the suburbs of Odesa was destroyed. No one was injured.
In 2024, Nova Poshta opened 1,747 new branches and installed 8,410 ATMs in Ukraine.
As of the beginning of 2025, the company's network consists of 13,208 branches and 24,002 ATMs in Ukraine.
In early 2024, the Nova Poshta group of companies changed its name to NOVA.
The company has been operating on the Ukrainian market since 2001, its co-owners are Vyacheslav Klymov and Volodymyr Popereshnyuk.
