A Russian drone attack on the coast of Odesa killed one person and injured another, regional governor Oleh Kiper said on June 23.
He said a 26-year-old woman was killed in the attack, while a 39-year-old man was injured and is receiving medical treatment.
Kiper said information about other possible casualties was still being verified. Emergency responders and specialized services were working at the scene.
According to local Telegram channels, a drone fragment struck the woman in the neck while she was at a city beach during the Russian attack.
On the evening of June 21, Russian forces launched a ballistic missile strike on an agricultural enterprise in the Odesa district, killing one person and injuring three others. The attack sparked a fire and damaged vehicles, fuel storage tanks and a warehouse facility.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
