The village has been on the front line since 2022, making it more susceptible to Russian attacks.
British intelligence noted that Russia’s advances threaten Ukrainian defense positions from the rear, targeting key logistical routes.
The Institute for the Study of War warned that Russian progress in Oblast could lead to the encirclement of Velyka Novosilka, jeopardizing supply lines connecting Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhya oblasts.
