Russian forces dropped a guided bomb on central Kherson, damaging a medical facility, shops, offices, and cars, and injuring one person, Kherson City Military Administration head Roman Mrochko reported on March 14.

“A guided air bomb in the center of Kherson during working hours — this is how Russian terrorists marked Ukraine's Volunteer Day,” Mrochko said.

He reported that the strike damaged a medical facility, shops, offices, cars, and shattered many windows.

So far, one victim has been confirmed: a 23-year-old man who sustained a mine-explosive injury.

“We are documenting the aftermath of the enemy airstrike in the city center and assessing the extent of the damage. We thank all the responders on the ground and are assisting those who survived,” Roman Mrochko added.

On the night of March 13, Russian forces launched a massive strike on Kherson, killing a 42-year-old woman.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
