Russian forces launched at least seven guided glide bombs on Sumy Olbast on the night of July 26, regional governor Oleh Hryhoriv reported.
Hryhoriv stated that the attack wounded five civilians in Sumy Oblast, though preliminary data indicates none of the victims sustained serious injuries.
"The enemy attack damaged private residential buildings, infrastructure facilities, and vehicles," Hryhoriv concluded.
Russian drones struck a residential area in Sumy on the evening of July 20, wounding several – including children – and damaging a high-rise building.
Hryhoriv reported that the strikes wounded two adults and four children, including an 8-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl who were hospitalized, while also destroying a shopping mall in Sumy.
A Russian Shahed drone attack killed three people in Sumy on July 25, including a 43-year-old Nova Poshta driver, a 48-year-old, and a 53-year-old.
Rescuers uncovered the bodies of two victims while extinguishing fires caused by the attack, while local authorities reported that a third person died on the way to the hospital.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
