One dead, 15 injured including a child after strike hits gas station and cars

Russian invaders launched a missile strike on Mykolaiv, killing and injuring several people on Nov. 1.
Updated 11:05 a.m. — Rescue units reported working at the scene, neutralizing hazards and washing away spilled fuel with water and air-mechanical foam to prevent fire, with chemists and pyrotechnicians involved.
Medical personnel and Red Cross volunteers were also assisting the injured, the State Emergency Service said.
Updated 10:43 a.m. — Mykolaiv Regional Governor Vitaliy Kim showed the aftermath of the city’s missile strike.
Updated 10:30 a.m. — Kim reported that around 7:20 a.m., Russian forces attacked Mykolaiv with a ballistic missile, reportedly an Iskander-M carrying a cluster warhead.
One person was killed. Fifteen others were injured to varying degrees, including a child with moderate injuries.
A gas station and several vehicles were damaged.
“Because of the missile strike on Mykolaiv, there are casualties. Emergency services are working,” Kim wrote.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Air Forces warned of a ballistic threat and later reported a high-speed target from temporarily occupied Crimea heading toward Mykolaiv.
Overnight, air raid alerts were issued across several Ukrainian regions due to the threat of Shahed drones. An explosion was reported in Sumy.
