Russian missiles strike Odesa port
Russia attacked Odesa’s port infrastructure with ballistic missiles on May 23, killing two people and injuring eight, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper.
Kiper said a 71-year-old Odesa resident died in hospital following the attack that also killed a port worker. Officials reported that the strike included two ballistic missiles aimed at a civilian facility “critical to global food security.”
“At today’s Russian attack, a port worker was killed; I extend my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased,” Kiper added.
Four of those injured are in critical condition, two were seriously wounded, and two more people sustained minor injuries.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
