Ukrainian Storm Shadow strike hits Bryansk microchip plant, report says

on March 10 damaged its assembly hall, Russian Telegram channel Astra reported,
citing its own open‑source intelligence (OSINT) analysis.
According to the report, the attack included Franco-British
Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Astra posted footage showing a large workshop on
fire after the strike. Local social media groups said the workshop was heavily
damaged and that many people were reportedly trapped under rubble. Residents
also reported a hit on the plant’s administrative building.
Bryansk regional governor Alexander Bogomaz said six people
were killed and 37 were injured in the missile attack. He warned residents of
smoke in the Sovetsky district, where the plant is located, and urged people to
stay indoors and close windows. Bogomaz did not mention the strike on the plant
in his initial comments.
Later, the Ukrainian General Staff confirmed the Kremniy El
plant was hit by Storm Shadow missiles. “The target was struck and production
facilities were significantly damaged. The extent of the damage is being assessed,”
Ukrainian officers said.
Kremniy El is one of Russia’s largest suppliers of military
microelectronics and that the Kremlin has invested billions in the company. The
plant was reportedly attacked by Ukraine in 2023, 2024 and 2025. It produces
microelectronics used in missile defense systems, Iskander ballistic missiles,
radars, electronic‑warfare systems, and UAVs.
