Ukraine repatriates 502 fallen soldiers' bodies with Red Cross aid

Ukraine returned the bodies of 502 fallen defenders to territory under its control, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War reported on Nov. 29.

Ukraine returned the bodies of 502 fallen servicemen, including 397 from Donetsk Oblast, 24 from Luhansk, and 64 from Zaporizhzhya, with 17 more from Russian morgues, the Coordination Headquarters reported.

The transfer was assisted by the International Committee of the Red Cross. Ukrainian authorities are working with law enforcement and forensic teams to identify the deceased.

On Nov. 8, Ukraine also exchanged 563 bodies, mostly from Donetsk.
