Ukrainian drones damage Donetsk airport

The Ukrainian military damaged enemy UAV infrastructure at the airport in occupied Donetsk, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces announced on June 4.

The 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center posted the claim and video on its Telegram channel, saying Russian forces had turned the airport into a military logistics hub and a key launch site for Shahed kamikaze drones. The center said its drone operators have systematically targeted infrastructure to make the airfield inoperable.

“Our strike drone operators destroy launcher systems, transport vehicles, and crews directly on the runway,” the unit said.

“At the same time we conduct systematic hunting of mobile firing groups and enemy air defenses, forcing the enemy to cancel flights.”

The 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Center said strikes on engineering equipment, fuel tankers and logistic nodes have “completely degraded the airfield ecosystem.” It said destroyed targets include Shahed launchers, construction cranes, military vehicles, and supply depots.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
