Ukraine’s National Guard shows drone-dropped 'gifts' for invaders on frontline
Ukrainian forces are successfully using drones to mine enemy supply routes, the Chervona Kalyna Brigade said on Telegram on July 18.
“Knowing the occupiers’ passion for endless meaty assaults, the sappers and pilots of the Chervona Kalyna Brigade’s support battalion are always one step ahead,” read the description accompanying newly published footage.
The Brigade noted that such “gifts” disrupt Russian plans and halt their assaults.
“Surprises are collected by everyone — from traditional ‘zombie cars’ to daring ‘scooters,’” the statement said.
As a result, Russian forces “remain where they belong — in the history of defeats,” according to the fighters.
On July 17, CNN reported that Russia may launch an intensified summer offensive within days or weeks, possibly involving up to 160,000 troops being redeployed to the front lines. The report noted that Moscow could attempt to exploit a 50-day window before the potential imposition of new U.S. sanctions.
Meanwhile, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said the Russian offensive has not stopped.
