Kyiv hosts mock trial on Russian crimes against humanity

Global Rights Compliance (GRC), with support from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, organized its third international crimes mock trial in Kyiv, bringing together investigators, prosecutors, defense counsel, victim counsel, judges, and journalists from across Ukraine for a realistic simulation focused on preparing future prosecutions for crimes against humanity, including the deportation of civilians from Russian-occupied territories.

Ukraine's Parliament passes amendments to criminal law following Rome Statute ratification

On Oct. 9, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed Bill No. 11484 in its second reading, amending criminal legislation following the ratification of the Rome Statute. This was announced by Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a lawmaker from the Holos party.
