Ukrainian Defense Ministry officer accused of selling fake military exemptions
A serving officer at one of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry centers has been formally charged with organizing an illegal scheme that allowed draft-eligible men to avoid military service in exchange for bribes, Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) reported on April 18.
