A line of trucks approximately 17
kilometers long has formed at Poland’s border
with Ukraine near Srebrzyszcze, public broadcaster Polskie Radio reported
on March 4, citing Chelm District police department.
“The length of the queue is about 17 kilometers up to the village of Srebrzyszcze,” the police said.
“Approximately 650 vehicles are waiting in the queue. The estimated time for customs inspection is about 371 hours.”
They added that protesting Polish farmers are not allowing regular trucks from the queue to pass, but vehicles carrying humanitarian aid, military supplies, live animals, and pharmaceuticals are passing through without issue.
Protests are also ongoing at other border crossings in Lublin Voivodeship.
"In Hrebenne, the wait is 80 hours. On March 4, there were 450 freight vehicles in a 15-kilometer queue to the village of Belzec," the report adds.
