Moscow authorities report overnight drone attack on capital, Solnechnogorsk struck

Updated at 7:53 a.m.: Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin claimed that “more than 350 drones” were flying toward the Moscow region overnight on July 13. He stated that most of them “were neutralized by air defense forces on distant approaches”. Sobyanin added that nearly 50 UAVs were destroyed “on approach to Moscow”.
Updated at 6:34 a.m.: Russian authorities claimed that air defense forces shot down drones flying toward Moscow. Videos surfaced online showing the attack, along with potential traces of air defense activity.
Explosions and air defense fire were primarily reported in Solnechnogorsk, Moscow Oblast. Local residents posted videos of debris from shot down targets. Reports indicate Russian air defense fire caused casualties in Moscow Oblast, according to the Exilenova+ Telegram channel.
