Forty-six liberated settlements in Kherson Oblast to date

Ukrainian forces have already liberated 46 settlements in Kherson Oblast, acting regional governor Dmytro Butriy said during a press briefing on Aug. 1.

Most of these towns are in the north, near the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast boundary, according to Butriy, with a handful more to the south, near Mykolaiv.

Butriy said that some of the liberated villages are almost entirely destroyed and abandoned, while Russian troops continue to shell them.

The official urged civilians to evacuate to safer parts of Ukraine, until Kherson Oblast is finally free of the invading Russian forces.
