"We know that this aircraft (the MiG-31K) is a carrier of Kh-47 (Kinzhal) aeroballistic missiles. Thus, six such missiles were sent towards the capital, all of which were downed by our air defense system," he said.

Air raid sirens sounded in most of Ukraine's region in the early hours of May 16. They sounded twice in the capital — from 2.24 a.m. until 4.01 a.m. and from 4.21 a.m. until 5.33 a.m.
