The
Ukrainian military destroyed yet another Orlan-10 drone in Odesa
Oblast early in the morning of April 15, the spokesman of the local
military administration Serhiy Bratchuk reported.
According to him, the soldiers of the 28th Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the First Winter Campaign managed to destroy the Russian aircraft.
The news was also confirmed by the Air Command South.
The Orlan-10 is a multi-purpose unmanned aerial vehicle designed to monitor long-distance and local objects in hard-to-reach areas. It can operate at speeds of 90-150 km/h, with maximum flight altitude of 5,000 meters, and flight endurance of up to 16 hours. It can carry on board several types of special purpose equipment: thermal imager, camera, gyro-stabilized video camera, radio transmitter, repeater, etc. The UAV was developed by a Russian military enterprise in Saint Petersburg.
