Zarivna reported on March 3 that seven other children had also been returned from occupied areas under the Bring Kids Back UA initiative. She noted that one teen, alongside his parents, endured forced passportization, psychological pressure, and threats of conscription.
Qatar has assisted in these efforts to retrieve Ukrainian children from occupation, she added.
On Feb. 19, 15 more children were brought back from occupied territories. Among them was a large family whose mother faced constant pressure from occupation authorities for refusing Russian documents. Her kids were forced into propaganda schools, with threats for noncompliance.
On Feb. 14, Ukraine’s ombudsman, Dmytro Lubinets, said eight children were returned from Russian occupation to Ukrainian-controlled land. They included siblings separated from family by war and occupation — some orphaned — from Luhansk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson oblasts.
On Feb. 6, Zarivna reported that eight Ukrainian children, illegally taken to occupied Crimea, were brought back to Ukrainian-controlled territory.
