Russia strikes Ukrainian infrastructure in three regions with 139-drone overnight attack

Air raid alerts sounded across Ukraine overnight as Russian attack drones swept across the country. Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted 111 of 139 drones launched by Russia. The Air Force recorded direct hits from 20 drones at 13 locations, with debris falling at four additional sites.

In Odesa Oblast, Russian drones attacked industrial infrastructure in multiple waves, regional governor Oleh Kiper said.

The strikes caused damage to a warehouse and utility structures. Local fires that broke out were extinguished by emergency responders. No casualties were reported.

A Russian drone also struck an electrical substation in Poltava, the regional military administration said. More than 6,500 households and 548 commercial customers lost power as a result. Windows in nearby residential buildings were also damaged. No casualties were reported.

Poltava city council secretary Kateryna Yamshchykova reported that overnight explosions were heard in the city, accompanied by disruptions to electricity and water supply. City services are assessing the full extent of the damage.

Russian forces also struck Kharkiv twice overnight in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kholodnohirskyi districts, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported. In the Kholodnohirskyi district, a strike on an infrastructure facility sparked a fire. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, drone debris fell onto a roadway.
