Kharkiv residents describe chaos after Russian missile attack - video

One eyewitness described seeing a bright flash, followed by an explosion that sent dust and debris raining down.

Inna Mazurova, a resident of the Osnovyanskyi district whose apartment was damaged, said the blast wave shattered her balcony windows and doors. 

“My entire room on this side is gone—ceiling torn off, doors destroyed,” she said. 

“My glass doors shattered into pieces. The blast wave broke my aquarium, and the whole apartment is flooded.”

The Russian attack, which used cluster munitions, struck a multistory residential building, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said. 

As of the latest reports, one person was killed, and 60 were injured, with fears that others remain trapped under rubble. 

Over 20 apartment buildings and more than 30 private homes were damaged.
