So far, 84 people have been reported wounded, including 10 children.
The Russian military used missiles with cluster munitions to strike the city of Sumy on the afternoon of April 13, Palm Sunday, the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, told the United News telethon.
"They used a weapon [missile] with a cluster munition," said the governor from the scene of the tragedy.
“We see here the walls cut by the corresponding damaging elements. We see where most people died. This is a trolley bus with people in it. Almost everyone who was there died. Now the bodies are being evacuated.”

"The enemy missiles hit an ordinary city street, an ordinary life: houses, educational institutions, cars on the street," said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, reacting to the tragedy.
“And this is on the day when people go to church: Palm Sunday, the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem.”
He also emphasized that the world needs a tough response to this attack.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said that Ukraine was passing on information about the war crime to all partners and international institutions.
For the second month in a row, Russia has refused to accept the U.S. proposal for a complete ceasefire, which Ukraine unconditionally accepted on March 11. Instead, Russia is intensifying terror.
