Mathernová wrote that while Kyiv had a relatively quiet night, "the rest of Ukraine burned and suffered."
She highlighted a drone strike on a private home in the town of Novhorod-Siverskyi in Chernihiv Oblast and 18 drone hits on residential buildings in Kharkiv.
"Ternopil is still witnessing real hell… Friends of the victims described a night ‘you cannot forget’ — chaos, fire, screams, collapsed residential buildings," she wrote. "This is the reality of Russian terror deliberately targeting civilians. This is not a fight against the army. This is an attempt to erase people and their lives."
Mathernová noted that Ukraine faces constant attacks, with civilians dying and the energy system damaged as winter approaches.
"Yet Ukraine continues to fight — for all of us," she added. "My heart goes out to all families and loved ones of all people killed in last night’s attack."
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia launched more than 470 strike drones and 48 missiles, including ballistic ones, overnight into Nov. 19.
In Ternopil, the strikes destroyed high-rises and sparked fires, with people possibly trapped in rubble. In Kharkiv, two districts saw 16 residential buildings damaged and 46 people injured.
Lviv was blanketed in thick smoke after hits on energy facilities and warehouses. In Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, three people were wounded, including two children.
The Energy Ministry reported strikes on Ukraine's power grid, triggering emergency blackouts in several regions.
