“The pressure on Russia is still insufficient, and the daily Russian strikes on Ukraine prove it,” he said.
“Last night, ballistic missiles were launched against Kyiv, while attack drones targeted the region. Strikes also hit the Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Khmelnytskyi, and Cherkasy oblasts.”
Zelenskyy highlighted a surge in Russian air attacks, signaling Moscow’s intent to sustain its campaign of terror as long as the world permits.
Over the past week, Russia launched more than 1,460 guided aerial bombs, nearly 670 strike drones, and over 30 missiles of various types across Ukraine, including more than 20 overnight into April 6.
“These attacks are Putin’s response to all international diplomatic efforts,” the head of state said, urging a stronger push against Moscow.
Russia deployed 132 air attack assets—23 missiles of various types and 109 strike drones, including decoys—across the country, with the air defenses downing 53 targets.
The State Emergency Service said rescuers were addressing the aftermath in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi, Obolonskyi, and Solomyanskyi districts, where fires and structural damage were reported.
Three people were injured in the capital, two requiring hospitalization, and one fatality was confirmed by Kyiv authorities.
Russia also attacked civilian infrastructure in Sumy with eight Shahed UAVs. According to the regional authorities, administrative and storage facilities, vehicles and other equipment of one of the enterprises were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties.
