Russian strikes spark fires, damage homes in Vinnytsia - photos

In Vinnytsia Oblast, Russian forces carried out a massive attack overnight into Sept. 10, hitting civilian industrial facilities, First Deputy Head of Vinnytsia Oblast Military Administration Natalia Zabolotna reported.

The State Emergency Service showed the aftermath of the attack on Vinnytsia, reporting damage to over 20 buildings.

Russia struck the region with 26 drones and 11 missiles. The attack caused a fire at civilian industrial infrastructure facilities, and firefighting efforts are ongoing. One person was injured and hospitalized.

Approximately 30 residential buildings were damaged, with broken windows, damaged roofs, and affected adjacent areas in Vinnytsia Oblast.

“The enemy attack on Vinnytsia Oblast continues. There are hits on civilian industrial facilities,” Zabolotna wrote on Telegram.

Earlier on Sept. 10, explosions were heard in Vinnytsia. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of drones and cruise missiles toward the city.

Since the early hours, Russian forces have been attacking Ukraine with drones and missiles, with explosions reported in Kyiv, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Lutsk, and other cities. During the strike, Russian drones violated Polish airspace, leading to the closure of airports in Warsaw, Rzeszów, and Lublin. Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said the military began shooting down the drones.
