Russia launches about 10 strikes across Zhytomyr Oblast, hitting civilian infrastructure

Russian forces carried out about 10 strikes on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine’s Zhytomyr Oblast overnight into Sept. 29, according to regional governor Vitaliy Bunechko.

The attacks targeted civilian sites, including transport and fuel infrastructure, as well as private businesses.

According to him, strikes were recorded in Zhytomyr, Korosten, Zviahel, and Ovruch.

Emergency responders and specialized services were working at the impact sites and areas where debris fell. No information about casualties had been reported so far, Bunechko said.

On Sept. 25, it was reported that Russian forces attacked the Kromberg & Schubert enterprise in the Zhytomyr municipality for the second time in one week.

Earlier, on Sept. 21, Russian forces attacked gas stations in Zhytomyr Oblast twice in one day. First, they struck a station on the M-06 highway near Zviahel. Later, Russian troops hit a WOG fuel complex in the Zviahel district.
