The situation in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk Oblast, is worsening as Russian attacks have increased tenfold, causing daily casualties, regional governor Vadym Filashkin said on Nov. 28.

"I urge everyone to follow all wartime restrictions, but the best solution in these conditions is to evacuate to safer oblasts of Ukraine," he said.

Filashkin noted that under Donetsk Oblast Defense Council order No. 660/5-24, issued on Oct. 2, 2024, entry to settlements in the Kostiantynivka and Illinivka communities is restricted to Ukrainian Defense Forces personnel, with others requiring special passes.

Earlier, Filashkin reported that as of the morning of Feb. 28, one person had been killed and five injured in Russian shelling of Kostiantynivka.

The attacks also damaged 16 apartment buildings, 10 private homes, four administrative buildings, three non-residential properties, two businesses, five power lines, three gas pipelines, six garages, and four cars.
