Russian forces have once again increased infantry activity on the Tavria front, Tavria operational group commander Oleksandr Tarnavskyi reported on Telegram on Dec. 3.

There were 55 skirmishes in the past day. Russia’s losses amounted to 440 soldiers, with a dozen surrendering.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed nine units of enemy military equipment.

“Our defenders resiliently hold the defense on the Avdiivka and Maryinka fronts,” said Tarnavskyi.

Russia’s aviation activity is low — five air strikes were recorded during the day. However, Russia dropped KABs in Donetsk Oblast at night.

Russia unsuccessfully attacked in the areas of Stepove, Pervomaiske, Avdiivka, Severne, south of Tonenke, and east of Novobakhmutivka, where 25 enemy attacks were repelled. Ukraine also repelled 11 enemy attacks in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka.

On the Shakhtar front, Russia unsuccessfully attempted to storm areas southeast of Vuhledar and west of Staryi Maidan.

Russia also made 12 unsuccessful attempts to regain lost positions in the areas south of Robotyne and west of Verbovyi in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.

Ukraine continues its offensive on the Melitopol front.

Russia has been using less aviation and artillery on the Tavria front, but ground attacks by infantry persist.
